Scholarship opportunity for high school learners

PfP urges secondary school principals in its network to encourage qualifying learners to take advantage of this unmissable opportunity

The Federated Employers’ Mutual (FEM) Education Foundation* has partnered with the Make A Difference (MAD) Leadership Foundation** to make available education and leadership opportunities to talented learners in South Africa. Due to PfP’s association with both these organisations, high school learners within the PfP network now have the option of early access to the MAD scholarship opportunity.

This scholarship supports learners through to their tertiary studies, by investing in their academic, wellness, life-skills, and leadership journeys, for up to nine years, to ensure that they are given every opportunity to reach their full potential as South Africa’s future leaders.

Applications are now open for the 2021 academic year to learners who meet the minimum eligibility criteria, which are:

  • Learners in Grade 7 to Grade 12
  • Must have attained an aggregate of at least 65%
  • Gross combined monthly income per household should not exceed R25,000
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must speak and understand basic English
