The following schools will be hosting Mandela Days. For more information on how you can get involved or for the contact details of the participating schools in your area please email pfp@symphonia.net or contact Symphonia for South Africa on (021) 913 3507.

C.L Willmot will be hosting a volunteers’ day on Mandela Day. For more information, click on the picture below.

Spurwing Primary School’s Mandela Day will take place in the form of a “Renovation Day”. The Eerste River community will be helping with renovations at the school, on Saturday, 20th July. African Bank has generously donated a large amount of the materials needed for the renovation and a few of their staff members will also be helping out on the day.

Ravensmead High School Learners will be asked to bring a small treat to school to share with someone else and to engage with someone outside of their circle of friends on Mandela Day. The idea is to encourage an ethos of caring at the school, where learners will experience and express caring attitudes towards each other.  This exercise will serve as a prelude to the Values Footprint Project that Cape Town Leadership Circle 4 is agreed to embark on.

Perivale Primary School will be hosting their Mandela Day on Saturday 27th July 2013. It will be a Community Building Day and activities will include a facilitated discussion about the school’s vision and painting. This will be part of the build up to the school’s 50th birthday celebrations that are taking place next year.

Nyameko Primary School is situated in the Mfuleni community and this Mandela Day, the educators and learners will be giving back to this community. The school will move outside of their gates to clean the surrounding streets and all are welcome to join.
